INTRODUCTION
Throughout the continuing development of txtjock.com, registered users will automatically receive release notes just prior to each new software release. These documents are provided to communicate the latest bug fixes and program corrections, and to highlight new capabilities and service features that are constantly being introduced into this exciting new platform.


SOFTWARE CORRECTIONS
This latest release includes a number of bug fixes that have been introduced to increase system performance when using poor internet connections. This has been a problem for a number of users accessing the system using sub-standard internet connections.

A flashing antennae icon has been added just left of the purple Received Messages bar, to indicate when the system is communicating with the txtjock server. Also an internal "ping" process has been added, to ensure better 2 way communications and permit the system to automatically adjust various system parameters, based on actual internet connection quality and speed.

Other bug fixes have been identified and corrected in v2.00, including a number of default and system reply messages that have been modified for clarity; and a modification to the Personal Reply bar, that does not display properly on some older versions of Internet Explorer.

NEW FEATURES
A number of significant messaging and administrative capabilities have been introduced into txtjock.com, v2.00. These include the following:


- Multiple txtjock accounts
The system now supports two accounts. One Administrator to setup and administer all services, passwords, contests, operating parameters, reply messages, etc.. And a second Operator account with limited access to reply to incoming messages, administer polls and manage incoming song requests, etc.. (both users may be logged in simultaneously!)


- STATS menu option
Now provides one-button access to current usage statistics, including hits by keyword (including unlimited custom keywords), average hits per hour, etc.. Detailed stats information now includes a print facility.


- USERS menu option
A new database has been added in v2.00 to provide txtjock administrators with full access to their registered user database. Search capabilities include registration date, age, name search, mobile # and gender. The Users menu option also provides a print facility.


- PROFILE menu option
Now permits the Administrator to change his own password, as well as the assigned Operator password and the Administrators registered email address. (used to communicate with txtjock support) Any changes to the profile are now automatically emailed to the designated Administrator email account, for easy reference and better system security.


- HISTORY menu option
Now includes a number of new search criteria, greatly expanding the message search capabilities. These include day, month, year, time window, keyword search, multiple string search, mobile number and message type. (incoming, outgoing, or both)

The mobile number included in the message data, is now a link that permits one-button, instant zoom capability. The Administrator can now click on a selected mobile number, to list ONLY messages to or from that particular user.

The History database now includes a print capability.


- FILTER menu option
Has been expanded to permit Hide and Show of all message types, including an unlimited number of custom keywords! (Note: it is possible to send One-Button or Personal Reply messages in reply to incoming messages that Show in the Received Message area, however these will over ride normal system reply messages and should be used with caution. For example, do not send manual replies to promo entrants, as they will not receive the proper promo winner/looser message)


- CONFIG menu option
A number of changes have been introduced in the Config menu to expand your auto message reply capabilities and provide better system performance in the unattended mode. These changes are as follows:

The Default Messages option, now supports two 145 character reply messages for registered users. (Note: unregistered users ONLY receive the first default reply message, because the 2nd and 3rd message are automatically sent by the system to prompt registration)

The Blank Reply Message has been moved to its own menu option and the default Blank Reply message updated for clarity.

The Song Request Message now includes an option to permit changing of the default keyword "SONG", to permit greater customization. (Note: carefully consider the alternate keyword, if used, to minimize user confusion. The keyword must be a single word and should be short and easy to remember, to be most effective.)

The Poll Messages option, now includes three different default reply messages. The Vote Reply message, has been replaced by two different reply message options, Duplicate Permitted and Duplicate Not Permitted.

If duplicate votes are permitted in your poll, participants will automatically receive the Duplicate Permitted reply message, if duplicate votes are not permitted, the system will automatically reply with the Duplicate Not Permitted message.

The No Polls message remains unchanged and is automatically sent by the system when votes are received after a poll is already ended.

The Contest Message remains unchanged and is automatically sent by the system when messages are received after a contest has ended. (e.g. after all winners have been selected)

The New User Message is now included as an option in the Filter menu, to permit editing and customization by the txtjock Administrator. Please note the following message sequence for ALL new users (e.g. unregistered users) to ensure that your custom New User message is appropriate

New User Message Sequence:

1.       The first of 3 reply messages is the default message OR One-Button OR Personal reply, in the case of a manual reply by a txtjock Operator.

2.       The second of 3 reply messages is the New User message, prompting registration. (Note: you may now edit this reply message in the Config menu, New User Message option)

3.       The third of 3 reply messages is automatically sent by the system, and includes instructions for registration. For example: "To register, txt NAME/ADDRESS/AGE/GENDER and send to 2299. ex: Tommy Clark/102 Esteban St, Pasig/19/M". (Note: This message can not be changed)

The Custom Keys Manager now permits 2 reply messages, per custom keyword.

The Header Text message remains unchanged, however the message is now displayed in the upper right portion of the screen header, in large white letters, for easier viewing.

The Font Size option remains unchanged and may be used to edit the size of text displayed in the Received Messages area.

The Message Alert option is also unchanged and is set by default to OFF. (Note: this alert should only be activated when a small number of messages are expected)

The Admin Alert option has not been modified, however it is now defaulted to ON, to alert the txtjock Operator of incoming messages from the online txtjock administrator.


CONTEST menu option
txtjock v2.00 now supports multiple contests. The Contest menu option will automatically display the number of contests currently active and permit the Administrator to select which contest to review, edit or end.

The txtjock, v2.00 Contest system now includes the following capabilities:

1.       Multiple correct answers. Since users often enter responses using abbreviations or different types of syntax, multiple correct answers are now supported. To add multiple answers, simply separate each correct answer in the Correct Answer field by a comma, as illustrated below:

Correct Answer:     MIB, MIB2, MIBII, men in black
(or)                       spiderman, spider man, sman

The Contest system will automatically match each of the indicated responses to the incoming contest message.

2.       Allow Unregistered users to win. Select YES to allow everyone to join a contest, or NO to restrict participation to registered users only.

If NO is selected, responses received from unregistered users will not be considered and the user will automatically receive the Unregistered Contest Reply message. (Note: you may now edit this reply message in the Config menu, Contest Messages option)

- POLL menu option
There were no significant changes introduced to the Polling system.


- SONG menu option
A number of changes were introduced to increase usability of the Song request handling system. To save time, the confirmation message has been removed when manually deleting songs from the song list. (to remove a song from the list, simply click on it)

A refresh button has also been added, to refresh the display when the Song menu is left open for extended periods of time. To refresh (or update) the list, simply click the Refresh button, or Hide and reopen the Song request menu.

Also, a song database is now available, permitting access to and administration of all song requests received by the system. To access the txtjock song database, simply click the Song Database button, then enter your search criteria.

The song database currently supports the following search criteria:

1.       Day, Month, Year - You can select the days to search.

2.       Time window - You can specify a time period. (start and end time)

3.       Song title or string - You can specify multiple comma delimited, search strings. (example: "Happy Birthday, Happy, Birth, Day")
